Civ 6 suddenly lagging. I play with lots of mods and see a big difference in game performance when I play it vanilla. It would take a long time to load but no other issues. Jul 14, 2018 · Civ VI Suddenly So Slow It's Unplayable I'm not sure what's going on, but suddenly the game is so slow that it's unplayable-- skips when I scroll around the map, click on the interface, etc. My whole game suffered a huge FPS lag problem, and in addition to that, the shades of wheat and rice are flickering and lighting on the map is weird (brighter in some tiles and darker in others).
